Syllabus items covered include: Safety, Halyards & Sheets, Points of Sail, Navigation, Helming, Anchoring & Mooring.

You'll enjoy seven hours hands-on training on the water with a maximum of 5 students. This is an introduction to sailing aboard a yacht in sheltered waters and includes one-on-one instruction in basic boat skills. Course will be run over one day & if you have done the Boatschool Licence course or can demonstrate the required knowledge, you will also be awarded a Boatschool Certificate.

The training yacht is a Seawind 1000 cruising catamaran which is a very responsive, stable boat and will give you confidence. This course is recommended to anyone considering cruising and is usually required by charter companies.
